		GPS Quality And Assurance GPS operates a quality assurance system in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001 which is audited on a regular basis by BSI. The quality assurance system imposes stringent standards of control throughout design, development and subsequent production and inspection processes, as well as the provision of Certificates of Conformity for all raw materials, i.e. polymer and resistance wire etc. Products are subjected to the following range of checks and tests, some being applied to every fitting, whilst others are carried out on a sample basis: Tensile tests Dimensional control Hydrostatic pressure tests at 20ºC and 80ºC Stress cracking tests Surface finish Crush tests carried out on pipe fused into electrofusion sockets as part of joint performance tests Joint pull-out tests Detailed records are kept for dimensional and performance tests for each production batch. Each batch is given a unique identification number which is reproduced on every fitting. GPS Environmental Management We operate an environmental management system that has been successfully assessed against the BS EN ISO 14001 environmental management standard.
