Background and History

Over the years our company has been known in the market by many names but our knowledge and expertise in the polyethylene field has continued to grow and be respected around the world.

With over 50 years experience within the plastics fitting industry and as the UK was the first to adopt PE on a large scale for gas and water distribution we have developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

We first entered collaboration with National Grid Transco (formally British Gas) in the development of electrofusion fittings in 1979. This made us one of the first manufacturers of electrofusion fittings. Our first range of electrofusion fittings were known as Vulcathene Gas Coil.
